Don't Give Up on What You Gave Up!

Don’t Give Up on What You Gave Up!                                [Bulletin date: April 27, 2025]

Many of us made resolutions on New Year’s Day and then added Lenten promises on Ash Wednesday. Now that Easter Sunday has come and gone, what do we do?

Easter is a time of celebrating a new beginning, a new life. That is why this is the perfect time to reflect on those resolutions and promises and do our best to keep them going.

Think about the positive effects that they have had on your mind, body, and spirit. Perhaps you have developed stronger relationships with family, friends, and God, or you have lost a little since you weren’t eating chocolate, or maybe you have developed a habit for more personal time for exercise, reading, or prayer.

Just because Lent is over, we do not need to slip back into “how we were.”  Instead let us keep working on “how we are now” and keep the blessings of 2025 flowing throughout the year.

Have a happy, healthy, and blessed Easter season and beyond!
