Autumn Inspires the
Mind, Body, and Spirit [Bulletin date: November 2, 2025]
“Everyone must take time to watch the leaves turn”, said Marietta born poet Elizabeth Lawrence (1904 – 1985). Her words are an inspiration for us all to renew and replenish our minds, bodies, and spirits during the season of autumn.
This can be done in several ways. Perhaps start by cleaning up spaces, removing clutter, and reorganizing some areas of your home. Clutter is a distraction to the mind as well as the body. Removing it can help you evaluate your home for winter projects, repairs, and decorating. Plus, cleaning can be good exercise. Reorganizing may improve overall productivity and creativity while bringing peace to the spirit once completed.
Autumn is also a perfect time for outdoor activity. Take a walk, ride a bike, rake leaves, or just sit outside and enjoy the crisp, fresh air. It’s also a good time to open windows and air out the house before it gets too cold. Most importantly, being outside brings us closer to God, our creator.
Embrace the
blessings of autumn. Enjoy the variety
of colored leaves, unclutter your mind and physical space, take a deep breath
of autumn air… and then get ready for the upcoming holiday season!
