Have you thought about writing a spiritual will?

A spiritual will, sometimes called an ethical will, is about passing on non-material gifts, such as values and lessons
that one wants to leave to others. It is like a love letter to family and friends. It is often written at a turning point in one’s life whether facing a challenging situation or recognizing transitions that occur over life’s stages. It can help the writer take stock and make sense of life by taking the values and wisdom gained through experiences and sharing them with others

While written in advance, a spiritual will can be shared with family and friends before or at the time of death. It can be written or an audio or video recording. No matter the format, a spiritual will allows you to share your thoughts, blessings, life lessons, hopes, and dreams for the future, while passing on love and forgiveness to others. It helps the writer to come to terms with the fact that we are all aging and have something to share with others

During the upcoming holiday season, take inventory of the things that mean the most to you and the things for which you are most thankful. Consider creating your own spiritual will that can one day be passed on to your loved ones
