Senior Wellness is Just Around the Corner              [Bulletin date: February 22, 2026]

Did you know that St. Ann is in the middle of several activity locations to help seniors stay active and healthy?

The East Cobb Library holds Senior Wellness Wednesdays, offering free classes for older adults who want to be proactive about their health. Each Wednesday offers a different type of class rotating every four weeks: Tai Chi for balance and strength, Chair Yoga with breathing exercises and mind-calming techniques, a falls prevention class which teaches balance and strengthening exercises; and Gentle Qigong with therapeutic breathing and focused meditation to help reduce mind and body stress. These free classes are offered from 11 am until 12 noon each Wednesday.

The Tim D. Lee Cobb Senior Center just behind the Mountain View Library also offers a variety of exercise classes for active adults age 55 and over. In addition, there are learning opportunities such as Spanish and computer classes on a quarterly basis. Plus, they have a small gym available free of charge.

Fulton County Senior Services offers neighborhood and multipurpose centers which provide seniors with nutritious meals, life enrichment classes, health education, fitness classes, and other activities that promote safe, active, healthy, meaningful, and productive lives for senior participants.  Some facilities have cafeterias, gyms, therapeutic pools, computer training centers, and art classrooms. There is no cost for Fulton County residents, but non-residents pay a $100 annual fee.

Check out these wonderful opportunities just around the corner.  Stay healthy!
